Description
Lipido-colloid foam dressing with soft-adherent TLC-NOSF Healing Matrix that jellifies in contact with wound exudate, reducing MMP levels and restoring balance to close wounds sooner. Also contains an absorbent polyurethane foam pad. NICE 2019 medical technology guidance (MTG42) states that evidence supports the case for adopting UrgoStart dressings to treat diabetic foot ulcers and venous leg ulcers.
Indications
Low to moderately exuding wounds, including leg ulcers, diabetic foot ulcers, pressure ulcers and long-standing acute wounds
Contraindications
Do not use on infected or critically colonised wounds, cancerous wounds and fistulas wounds that may reveal a deep abscess, or if there is a known sensitivity to the dressing
